Our conversation begins with your phone call or email inquiry. In addition to basics such as the date and location of your wedding, I like to know if you have any specific preferences for your ceremony. Learning about your interests helps me to select ceremonies and readings that I think you may like. It is best to then arrange a time to meet in person.

Our initial meeting will give us an opportunity to get to know each other better. I welcome any information you may choose to share, such as stories about your relationship, family needs or concerns, spiritual or religious views, and special requests that you may have.

You will have an opportunity to look at some sample ceremonies (although I also email selections to clients later for easy editing). I will be happy to answer any questions you may have to help you decide if you feel that my style and approach are compatible with yours, and I will provide details about fees and terms. You may choose to secure my services at this meeting or, if you prefer, take some time to reflect and discuss your preferences with your fiance. If you would like to choose me as your officiant, I will ask for a nonrefundable deposit and we will sign an agreement which secures your wedding date and time on my calendar.

Once we have decided to work together, I will be available to you via email and phone to provide direction and suggestions and to edit your ceremony. Whether you prefer a simple ceremony or one with many symbolic elements, I will assist you along the way. Most importantly, I will be there for you on your wedding day, when I will perform your ceremony and pronounce you husband and wife! Last but not least, I will sign and mail your license, the document that makes your marriage legal.
